The following instructions will help guide you through the easy setup process for our Remote Repair Session. Don't Worry, I Will Walk You Through This On The Phone.
If you don't have Google Chrome installed then please Download It Here from Google.
Installation Instructions
Already Installed?
Click Here To Begin Our Session!
You will see the following page in your browser window. Click "Add To Chrome" on the upper right hand side. This will add the Google Remote Desktop extension to Chrome. If you already have the extension installed then Click "Launch App" to begin our session.
Step 2: If you haven't downloaded the software then you will see a pop up window asking you to add the app. Click "Add App" and the browser will take you to your Google Apps page.
Step 3: Click the icon for "Chrome Remote Desktop" to continue.
Step 4: Click "Get Started" in the next window. This will take you to the Remote Assistance page.
Step 5: Click "Share" to install the Google Remote Desktop software.
Step 6: An installation window will pop up. Click "Accept and Install" to continue.
Step 7: The installation file will download. You can see it in the status bar at the bottom of your browser window (pictured below). Once the download completes click it to install the remote session software.
A message may pop up saying "This type of file can harm your computer" Click "Keep" to continue the installation. This is simply a Google Warning and the file is safe.
Step 8: You will be prompted to install the software.
On The PC: Click "Run" to install the remote desktop software.
On The Mac: Double Click "Chrome Remote Desktop Host.pkg" to install the software.
You will see this message "You will be guided through the steps necessary to install this software." Click "Continue"
Click "Install" on the next page. It may be necessary to enter your Admin password to install the software on your Mac. Once the software is installed click "Close"
Let's Begin Our Remote Session
Step 1: Open Google Chrome.
Step 2: Click the Apps icon at the top left of Google Chrome (pictured below).
Step 3: Click "Chrome Remote Desktop" in the apps menu.
Congratulations! Our Remote Session Will Now Begin.
