Solved: Using OBS On A Crappy PC, Best Settings YouTube, Live 3 Camera S...

So after 50+ live stream tests I've finally figured out the best OBS settings to broadcast live on YouTube. This is for my PC of course. But feel free to give these setting a shot if you are new to OBS, like I was, and you're lost in the woods, like I was...

I've spent the past 3 weeks working out a 3 camera setup which consisted mainly of me pulling my hair out every time the stream would crash. But it was time well spent considering it's free open source software. Please Help Support "Jim" and the OBSProject
https://obsproject.com/contribute

I started out on my MacBook Air and it didn't go so well. Next I moved everything over to my MacBook Pro running an i5 processor with 16GB of Ram, still wasn't cutting it.

From there I tested the software out on an old PC that I use for research while doing tech repair on the daily basis. Right off the bat it was working better for sure but it still wasn't streaming fluently.

After a solid week of testing I finally figured out the best settings for my PC. I haven't gone back to either of my Macs to see if these settings will work but it's not a good idea to broadcast from a laptop anyway, and especially not over a wireless signal. However, if you do successfully use these settings on a MacBook then please let me know.

In this video I'm running an old HP Pavilion 500-c60 AMD A6-5200 2ghz processor with 8gb of ram and a Radeon HD graphics card. It doesn't get much more basic than that! Here are my OBS settings...

Dakota Alert DVR-01 "PIR Motion Detector" Security Camera Review

In this video I review the Dakota Alert DVR-01 (PIR-Motion Detection) Video Surveillance Camera. I have to say that after using this unit for the past few months that this has to be my absolute favorite spy cam to date. Unlike the other crappy eBay knock-off motion detection video spy cameras, this one actually works! The main difference between this PIR unit and the other "Motion Detection" video cameras on the market is the "PIR" part. PIR or (Passive Infra-Red) detects body heat signatures instead of simple motion passing in front of the camera.

Other motion detection cameras can be set off by a curtain blowing in the wind or changes in light from the sun reflecting into the room. This not only wastes battery life but also gives you a lot of false positive recordings and you could easily find yourself wading through hours of video looking at the wind blowing or shadow play that has activated your camera. I did receive a few false positive recordings from this unit but only a few, not hundreds like the simple motion detection units that you find on eBay. This unit is by far the best one I have found on the market. It's compact and very easy to place without being seen. Another benefit of the Dakota DVR-01 is that you can keep it plugged in to a power source for endless recording, just put it where you need it and let it do it's job. When you need to review the footage then simply plug it into your computer and review the footage. Visit the manufacturers product page here: Dakota Alert.

Thanks to Matt @ Dakota Alert for featuring this video on their website!

8 LED Spy Torch Flashlight DVR Camera Review

In this video I review the 8 LED Flashlight Video Camera DVR. The outside of the unit is aluminum and has a pretty heavy duty feel about it, However, I must say that this unit still feels pretty cheaply made. I also noticed that if you even give it a slight bump while recording the audio cuts out horribly for a moment but then comes back, you will notice this during playback. It's still not a bad option for those who like a little stealth in their flashlight.

Solved: Android Battery Draining Too Quickly - Here Are Some Tweaks

In this video I show you some tweaks to help increase your battery life on Android phones. I went from 4 hours of battery time up to a solid 11-12 hours after performing these tweaks.
Please keep in mind that you use these tips at your own discretion. If you stop receiving notifications from certain programs then it might be necessary to re-enable background data on that particular app.
This is just a general guideline to help point you in the right direction.

In the video I also mention that you can download my music for free and share it with your friends. This does not mean you can use it in your intro videos. I may give you permission but please ask first, otherwise your video could get removed by YouTube for infringement. I'm a pretty nice guy tho and will usually let you use it in return for a link to my band page.

Water & Damage Repair: This service includes a complete diagnostic tear-down and rebuild of your iPhone and may restore it back to proper working condition after water damage or catastrophic accidents.

During the tear-down process I will clean the inside of the phone housing, the logic board and all of the other electronic parts to remove mineral deposits and corrosion caused by water damage.

During the reconstruction process I will diagnose and replace any faulty hardware with brand new parts. In most cases the battery, charging port, and sometimes the lcd screen may need to be replaced.

$60 Diagnostic Rebuild: I charge a flat rate of $60 to disassemble and assess the damage to determine if your phone is able to be repaired. If I am unable to repair your device then you will still pay $60 for my time.

If I am able to repair your phone then the cost of parts will be added to the $60 fee. The final cost of water or other major damage repair can run between $100 - $160 depending on how bad the damage is.

Please Note: I do not offer any type of warranty or guarantees on devices with water or catastrophic damage.

    * 30 Day Warranty: I offer a free 30 Day Warranty on all of my installed parts and labor. This warranty covers the replacement of any installed defective hardware for a period of 30 days at no additional cost to you. This Warranty does not cover damage that you may cause to your device after I have repaired it. This warranty also does not apply to devices with water damage or other catastrophic damage as mentioned above.
